How to travel to Davos Klosters?
You can travel to Davos Klosters in several ways, each with its own advantages.
By car:
The most cost-effective and convenient option to travel from Belgium to Davos is by car. From Brussels, it’s approximately 771 kilometers to Davos, located in the southeast of Switzerland, near the borders with Austria and Liechtenstein. The fastest route goes through Stuttgart and St. Gallen in Switzerland. It’s important to note that a toll vignette is required for the use of Swiss motorways, available at border crossings, gas stations, post offices, or online.
By plane:
Flying is another option, though there are no direct flights from Brussels to Davos. You can fly to Zurich, from where you have the option of renting a car or using public transport to reach Davos. From the airport, there’s a train connection to Zurich, followed by a transfer at Landquart towards Davos. Once in Davos, there’s an extensive bus network that can bring you close to your hotel.
A useful tip for public transport is to purchase a Swiss Travel Pass, which allows unlimited travel by train, bus, and boat throughout Switzerland. Also, don’t forget to download the handy app to easily and quickly consult your travel itinerary.
By train:
Davos is also accessible by train from Belgium, although this requires multiple transfers and is a longer journey. There are no direct train connections from Belgium to Davos, but travel is possible via Germany (with a transfer in Frankfurt) or France (via Strasbourg), with further transfers in Basel and Landquart. This method, although longer, offers you the chance to enjoy the scenery and the comfortable travel experience that European trains provide.
If you plan to travel longer in Switzerland, opt for a unique train journey to Davos. Davos is the final station for two of the most spectacular train routes in the world: the Glacier Express and the Bernina Express. The Glacier Express, also known as ‘the slowest fast train in the world’, connects St. Moritz with Zermatt, while the Bernina Express, Switzerland’s highest railway, follows a route from Davos to Tirano in Italy. Both offer unparalleled views of the Swiss landscape.
