During our tour of Cambodia, we stayed in Phnom Penh twice. Our first stay was for two nights at Penh House. This is a larger and more luxurious hotel with minimalist yet authentic room decor. The highlight was the rooftop pool with a stunning view of the Phnom Penh skyline and the delicious breakfast buffet in the rooftop bar.

The second time we stayed one night at La Chronique Hotel, a charming boutique hotel with colonial influences. Here the beautifully decorated rooms and the breakfast at the French bistro under the hotel made the stay unforgettable.

For budget-conscious travelers, there are plenty of hostels and guesthouses that are not only affordable but also great for meeting other travelers. Consider staying in the popular Boeung Keng Kang area, known for its vibrant street life and excellent restaurants.
