6 top locations for the best Eiffel tower pictures
Are you looking for the most spectacular locations to create the best Eiffel tower pictures? Then you are definitely in the right place. Here you will find 6 top locations to capture the symbol of Paris beautifully.
Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in France. And the Eiffel Tower is definitely one of the most famous sights in the city. This monument attracts many visitors every year. Throughout my various trips to Paris, it’ s always a challenge to portray the Eiffel Tower in a new and orginal way. So I’m always on the hunt for that top view of the Eiffel Tower.
If you’re visiting Paris soon it’s alway great if you can bring some stunning photos back home as a souvenir, or post them on your social media. And if you do, don’t forget to add a matching Paris travel quote as well.
6 top locations for the best Eiffel Tower pictures
1. Trocadéro Gardens
The first hot spot on the list to take the best Eiffel tower pictures, is also the most famous one, the Trocadéro gardens. This is a large public park located right in front of the Eiffel Tower. It’s obvious that you have a phenomenal view over the pride of Paris, in this park.
The big advantage is that there are many options to photograph the large tower in different perspectives. Also, the park is beautifully decorated, giving you an enchanting setting for taking the most dreamy pictures.
The disadvantage is that everyone likes to take the Eiffel Tower under the lens here. So that you may not be able to realize your picture perfectly because of the large crowds. A tip is to go just before dawn when it is still quiet so you can take the time to try different angles. Besides, the light during sunrise only adds more to the magic to your photo. So you will be sure to get that perfect Trocadero Eiffel Tower shot.
2. Under the Eiffel tower
At the entrance of the Eiffel Tower itself is a small, authentic carousel. From this point you can take very beautiful photos. The authentic merry-go-round provides extra color and dynamics in your photo.
Wear a pastel-colored dress and buy a large pink cotton candy and pose without shame in front of the carousel with the Eiffel Tower in the background. This way you get the perfect playful instagram photo.
3. Rue de L’université
Do you prefer to photograph the Eiffel Tower down the streets. Then stroll around in the nearby neighborhood and find a cozy cobbled street with impressive Hausmann architecture where you have a great view of the Eiffel Tower. The most famous street from which you can shoot this monument beautifully is Rue De L’université.
4. Pont Alexandre III
The best snapshots of the Eiffel Tower you can shoot from one of the most beautiful bridges in Paris, Pont Alexandre III. What gives an absolute added value is that the bridge is built in full Art Nouveau style, decorated with those typical Parisian lanterns, cherubs, nymphs and flying golden horses. These details ensure that you can photograph the Eiffel Tower in an enchanting Art Nouveau setting.
If you walk further under the bridge alongside the Seine, you will surely come across places where you can admire and photograph the tower in all its splendor.
5. Rooftop terrace of Galeries Lafeyette
During opening hours you can admire the view from the rooftop terrace from Galeries Lafeyette, free of charg . This is one of the most famous shopping centers on the large Hausmann Boulevard. Here too you can catch a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower. You can see it proudly stand out over the Paris skyline. This way you can photograph one of Paris its most visited monuments from a different perspective.
6. L’Oiseau Blanc
And last but not least for people with a large budget. Reserve the famous spot with front row view on the Eiffel Tower in the restaurant L’Oiseau Blanc.
This restaurant is part of the hotel Peninsula. In addition to traditional French cuisine, you can dine here with a phenomenal view of the tower. This spot is therefore highly in demand, so make sure to reserve it well in advance.
Of course there are more cool things to do in Paris, so don’t spend too long trying to get that perfect Eiffel tower image.

Being a travel blogger I get a lot of questions about which photography equipment I use to photograph my travels.
I shoot with full-frame system camera: Nikon Z6II. I have a few lenses, but these 3 are my absolute favorites when traveling:
- All-round lens: NIKKOR Z 24-70 mm f/2.8. (I shoot almost everything with this. Are you just starting to shoot? Then I would recommend this lens)
- Wide-angle lens: NIKKOR Z 14-24 mm f/2.8. (Architecture, interior, landscapes,...)
- Zoom lens: Nikkor NIKKOR Z 70-200 mm f/2.8. (Wildlife,...)
Wow, you sure found some cool spots to shoot the famous tower. It’s actually nice to see it from a few of the creative angles.
