Once in Cape Town, a rental car is the most flexible option. From the airport, it’s about a 45-minute drive to Stellenbosch, the heart of the wine route.

Public transport is less common, but shuttle buses or private transfers are available. Some tour operators offer organized wine tours from Cape Town, including trips like the wine tram. These options make traveling to the wine route comfortable and easy.
